Gibson ‘59-’60 GA-8 Gibsonette - $1,150 (Alexandria)

Not pretty to look at, but pretty to hear! This GA-8 tube amp is a tone machine! I’ve had this for at least 40 years but I’m not a guitarist so it has been mostly sitting.
Someone had replaced the 10” speaker with a 12” ceramic and painted the cabinet black when I got it.
Grille cloth is not original.
This is a player’s amp and sounds awesome - clean until you crank it, then it breaks up really nice.
Recently serviced - replaced the caps, 1 ballast resistor, the 5Y3 rectifier tube, and added a grounded power cord.
Takes pedals well according to the repair shop.
Bring your guitar and take it for a spin or can meet at Alexandria Police lot.
I also am in Rockville daily so that’s an option.
